Over 2,400 people leaving Škoda Auto

Czech carmaker Škoda Auto plans to lay off more than 2,400 employees mainly from agencies, Klaus Dierkes, the member of the board responsible for human resources, said in the Škoda company magazine published last week.

According to Škoda management, the crisis is not over yet. There were 24,793 people working for Škoda at the end of 2009 and the plan is to reduce this number to 22,353 employees, according to Dierkes. “As it seems today, we practically won’t have any agency employees,” Dierkes said in the magazine.

The 2400 people whowill be fired are Czech citizens or Ukrainians or other emigrants? Same as VW or Opel, they will never fire German workers, but emigrants.Globalization has reached her target.
