Domestic construction savings banks extended loans worth CZK 38.7 bln to clients between January and the end of July; this represents a y/y drop of 13 %. According to experts this drop is partially the result of client caution, partially speculations about the future drop in housing prices, and also due to growing unemployment. A decline in interest in loans was registered by all domestic construction savings banks with the exception of Raiffeisen Stavebni Sporitelna. Its volume of loans increased by almost 3 percent. The most significant y/y drop, totaling almost 50 %, was posted by Stavebni Sporitelna Ceske Sporitelny. (CIA)
